Why We Started re-scent: A More Considered Way to Enjoy Fragrance

At re-scent, everything started with a simple question:

Why do we throw away perfectly good containers once the scent is gone?
For years, beautifully made candles and diffusers have been designed to be used once and discarded. We loved the experience of fragrance in the home, but not the waste that came with it. We created re-scent to offer a different approach.

Instead of replacing the whole product, our focus is on refilling what you already have. A simple shift, but one that reduces unnecessary waste while still delivering high-quality fragrance. Our blends use carefully selected fragrance oils, combined with a plant-derived diffuser base. Each scent has its own natural tone and variation, a reflection of the ingredients themselves rather than something artificially standardised. For us, it’s about making more considered choices where we can.

That’s also why we’ve partnered with Just One Tree. For every refill sold, one tree is planted, helping to restore forests and support biodiversity. It’s a small step, but when taken collectively, it becomes something much more meaningful.
